Fu For You – Sigung’s Corner
I wish everyone health and happiness as we close out 2017 and embark into 2018!
Welcome back to routine!
A historic day for the Waterloo Kung-Fu Academy!
Patiently looking forward to summer!
Looking forward to Spring with optimism!
On behalf of the Academy and my family, I wish you a healthy and happy 2017!
In what seems like the blink of an eye, another summer has almost vanished. This year, the phenomenal weather likely contributed to that feeling. Many students at the school had excellent attendance through the summer and applied themselves to the curriculum outside of class time. I am confident they will be ready to advance to their next rank at the upcoming September grading.
As the school continues to grow, so does our talented and dedicated group of Black Sash Instructors, giving me great confidence as we head into the future!
This February has been much busier than normal, with new students joining all of our age programs. I would like to formally welcome all of the new families to the Academy! We will do our best to give you the best possible introduction to kung-fu and we hope it becomes a lifelong activity that you can benefit from and enjoy!
It’s hard to believe we are almost through the Fall! Many exciting events are coming up. I sincerely hope that everyone has a great finish to 2015 and an even better start to the new year!
Typically, I dedicate a portion of my column to provide a written recap of the prior three months. With a picture being worth a thousand words, let’s take this to the next level – I am very excited to announce the release of WKFA’s first annual yearbook! Our team worked really well together and had a lot fun capturing and documenting the year. So, enjoy flipping through photos our our year!…
Every time I sit down to write my column I’m amazed by everything that has occurred over the three months between writing! Right around when the last newsletter was sent, my family welcomed to the world our third child, Sarah Nicole. March Break featured our Five-Animal Camp under the guidance of Sifus Sydney, Sarah and Anne. Add to that the tournament season, lion dances and more!…
The summer seemed to go by amazingly quick, mainly due to many highlights, the biggest of which was the seminar conducted by shaolin monk, Shifu Yuan Jing on the evening of Aug.18.
I’m putting pen to paper (or whatever the digital equivalent is…fingers to keys I guess) following our annual Intermediate/Advanced grading on May 24. Here are some updates regarding what has been happening at WKFA!…
