Fu For You Winter 2024
I’m sure by now you’ve heard an instructor talk about our newsletters in classes. But what are they? Why read our newsletters? Are they really that important? Yes! All of our newsletters have valuable information, and we write them for your benefit. A lot of the time what we write about is based on what we think needs work on from classes we see. Everything we write about is for a reason and is meant to help you with your Kung Fu.
But what if I don’t like reading? No problem! You can always get a parent or an older sibling to read it to you! Even if you don’t want to, give it a try! You might learn something fun and exciting about Kung Fu! Most of our articles will take less than 5 minutes to read, so you could read an article after you finish practicing your Kung Fu. If you think about it, you probably have way more free time than just 5 minutes anyways. For example, you have 24 hours in a day, you sleep for about 9 hours, you’re at school for 6 hours then you still have 9 hours to do other things! So the next time you have some free time take a sec and read through some of the past articles and newsletters. If you don’t like reading you could also get a parent or sibling to help you; maybe they will even learn something new!
Where do the articles come from? All of our articles are written by instructors and volunteers. We all take our own free time to write, and the articles take a lot of time to prepare. A lot of the time we write our articles based on things we think need improvement in the Kung Fu school. We put tips on how to fix the issues in our articles and valuable information we want you to pay attention to in your classes. If you ever have a question about Kung Fu or your technique, you can always look at old articles and newsletters. They probably have an answer!
Take some time to read! There are so many cool newsletters for all students to learn new information. You can learn tips like how to prepare for gradings, how to be respectful, how to properly wear a Kung Fu uniform and so much more! You can also learn about our Shaolin 5 animals and how to practice your Kung Fu at home. It’s so fun to learn about the history and different techniques and animals.
The information in the articles can also help you improve your Kung Fu and practicing. You can even make a Kung Fu routine, for example you could start with 5 minutes of stretching then you could practice for 10 minutes and finish with taking 5 more minutes to read an article. Hopefully reading the newsletter can become a fun part of your Kung Fu routine!
