When you start to use weapons in your training, it’s imperative that you first understand this most important rule: weapons are not toys. You must adopt the mindset that focuses on effectively wielding and controlling a weapon, rather than playing with it.
Those of you that have followed my articles over the past year know that I’ve taken a deeper look into the mental side of our Kung Fu training. Surprise! This is what it was all leading toward.
It is never a good sign when your child stops in the middle of a Kung-Fu class because they’ve developed a cramp. This is often due to food, both what was eaten, when they ate it, and how much.
